Traditionally, Women’s History Month is March. The author/creator of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), Alice Paul, was born and lived in New Jersey. The Alice Paul Center (APC.com) is a resource for young girls to learn about community service and civics. It is in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, the home of Alice Paul’s birthplace.
Although theoretically, the 28th Amendment has been ratified by the required 38 states, the National Archivist questioned the legitimacy because of the unusual ratification procedure and has not entered it in the National Archives official registry amending it to the Constitution.
In March, I have been invited to Berkeley College in Woodland Park, NJ to talk about the history of Garden State Woman. Our mission since 1998 has been to empower through education women and girls with credible information about business and the value of a business education professionally and personally.
